Red and Black Social Club 18/1/15: Class war games

“I have studied the logic of war. Moreover I succeeded, a long time ago, in presenting the basics of its movements on a rather simple board game. I have played this game and, in the often difficult conduct of my life I have utilized lessons from it.”

Guy Debord

Red and Black Leeds invites you to hone your tactical and strategic thinking by means of a board games afternoon thei January the 18th at Wharf Chambers, Leeds foremost cooperative bar. Pop along anytime from 4 pm. We’ll be providing some of the games but please bring your own if you like (they don’t have to be class war/anarchist related – just bring anything you think would be fun). If you have suggestions for stuff to play, feel free to stick them in the comments below.

As with all iterations of the Red and Black Social Club, all are welcome, you don’t have to know anyone already, you don’t have to be a committed anarchist,  you don’t even have to know how to play board games (although that last one might help). If you’re interested in getting to know us in an informal setting, having a chat and a bit of a laugh, then come on down and get stuck in!

We aim to make our social events as open and accessible as possible, so please get in touch if you have any concerns or need any help from us in order to attend.

Wharf Chambers Co-operative Club is a members’ club, and you need to be a member, or a guest of a member, in order to attend. To join, please visit wharfchambers.org. Membership costs £1 and requires a minimum of 48 hours to take effect.
